Storm Damage Insurance Claims — Handled Start to Finish

We document the damage, file the claim, meet the adjuster, and lay out every option.

The hardest part of a storm claim is rarely the repair. It is the fortnight of phone calls, the photographs nobody took at the time, the adjuster appointment scheduled for a Tuesday morning you are supposed to be at work, and the sense that you are negotiating a technical subject against someone who does it full time.

This is the service Lake Acer is built around. We document the damage properly, file the claim, stand on the roof with the adjuster, and complete the approved work with our own crews. And whatever the carrier decides, we give you options — that promise is the point of the whole process, not a line at the bottom of it.

Our process

The four-step claim process

  1. Step 01

    Free inspection

Drone and on-roof documentation of the damage, plus siding, gutters and soft metals, dated and assembled the way a carrier expects to receive it.

  2. Step 02

    We file your claim

We submit the claim and handle the paperwork and correspondence. You are not learning insurance vocabulary on your lunch break.

  3. Step 03

    Fair pricing and options

When the carrier responds, we walk you through the scope line by line — what is covered, what is not, and what each path costs you. Always with options, no matter the coverage.

  4. Step 04

    Full restoration

Our crews complete the approved work, exterior and interior, and we close the claim out with the documentation the carrier needs.

Why Lake Acer

Why homeowners choose us for storm damage & insurance claims

  • Documentation that stands up

Dated photographs, marked test areas and a written damage summary. A claim is decided on evidence, so the evidence is where the work goes.

  • We are at the adjuster meeting

Someone who knows roofing is present when your roof is assessed, pointing at what we documented.

  • Roof and interior under one claim

Because we run both divisions, the shingles and the soaked ceiling below them are handled by one contractor and one scope.

  • Options no matter what your coverage says

Denied, partially approved or fully approved, you leave the conversation with a real plan and honest pricing.

  • No claim filed on normal wear

If what we find is age rather than storm, we will tell you. Filing anyway helps nobody and we are not going to recommend it.

Storm Damage & Insurance Claims — common questions

  • Do I pay you, or does the insurance company?

On an approved claim the carrier pays the covered scope and you are responsible for your deductible. We will set out exactly what that looks like in writing before any work begins, including anything you have chosen that falls outside the claim.

  • What if I have already filed the claim myself?

That is fine and fairly common. We can step in at any point — before the adjuster visit is ideal, but we can also review a scope you have already been issued and tell you honestly whether it covers what the roof actually needs.

  • How long does a claim take?

The carrier sets the pace and it varies with the size of the storm event — a regional hailstorm backs adjusters up considerably. What we control is that nothing is waiting on us, and we will tell you where the claim stands rather than leaving you to guess.
