Interior Remodeling & Rebuild Across Michiana

Drywall, flooring, tile, kitchen and bath — finishing the rebuild or a project of its own.
Empty room midway through an interior rebuild, with fresh drywall, exposed wiring boxes, a stepladder and covered floors

The interior side of a restoration is where a claim either ends well or does not. A roof can be perfect and a ceiling patch still obvious from the doorway. Lake Acer's interior team exists so the last ten percent of the job — the part you actually live with — gets the same attention as the structure above it.

We do drywall, flooring, tile, trim, paint, and full kitchen and bath work. Most of it follows a water or fire restoration, but we also take on interior remodeling as a standalone project for homeowners in the Michiana region who would rather hire the contractor who already finished their roof.

Our process

How we run interior work

  1. Step 01

    Scope and selections

We walk the space, agree what is being replaced versus repaired, and get finish selections settled before demolition rather than mid-project.

  2. Step 02

    Protection and demolition

Adjacent rooms protected, dust controlled, and removal limited to what genuinely needs to come out.

  3. Step 03

    Rough work

Framing adjustments, insulation, and coordination of the mechanical and electrical work a kitchen or bath change requires.

  4. Step 04

    Drywall, texture and paint

Hung, taped, finished and textured to match the surrounding surfaces, because a mismatched texture is what makes a repair look like a repair.

  5. Step 05

    Flooring, tile and trim

Flooring, tile work, cabinetry, trim and final paint — then a punch walk with you before we call it finished.

Why Lake Acer

Why homeowners choose us for interior remodeling

  • Matching finishes, not visible patches

Texture and paint matched into the existing surface so the repaired area is not the first thing you see when you walk in.

  • Part of the restoration scope

On a claim, interior finishes are covered work. We scope them properly instead of leaving you to arrange the inside yourself.

  • Kitchen and bath capability

Full room rebuilds including cabinetry, tile and fixtures — not just drywall and paint.

  • Available as a standalone project

You do not need a claim or a roof job to hire us for interior work.

  • One company from roof to floor

The same office that documented the storm damage finishes the room underneath it.

Interior Remodeling — common questions

  • Do you take interior projects without a restoration claim?

Yes. Kitchens, baths, flooring and drywall work are regular standalone projects for us.

  • Can you match my existing ceiling texture?

In most cases, yes. Knockdown, orange peel and similar textures can be matched closely. Older hand-applied textures are harder, and we will tell you honestly how close we expect to get before we start.

  • How disruptive is the work?

That depends on the room. A ceiling repair is a day or two with the rest of the house usable; a kitchen is a different proposition, and we will give you a realistic sequence and the dates you will be without it before anything is torn out.
